Fantastic news, Spellscape, thanks for letting us know! :D

Any word on whether it's tied to a new 'nid codex?

Yep trigon date not confirmed (and no pics) - I think GW doesn't really know it and hope that Daemon prince (plastic one) release, witch was showed 1 year ago and planed for 2008 summer, doesn't mean same for Trygon.
Nothing special for nids in summer but Planetstrike and new terrain rocks!
You can find 50% of it in WD and Rulebook (bunkers, stationary guns, walls landingpad) also expect really GOOD terrain for chaos/40k and FB (can't tell you - promised :( ) and one set will add new to imperial city great and big building.
SM will get 2 new vehicles (GREAT models)
Planet strike is a Nid thing - no objects - just kill them all! And as I understood is really fun ! expect to see 9 carnifexes and 3 tyrants - it will change standard army :D

In any case summer is full with new useful releases (beside IG and LOTR:WOR) for all races and I think Planetstrike is GREAT. It's not meant for tournament (because armies for sides really different) but it will be good. Every nid wants to feast on whole IG regiment inside fortress and every marine wants to clear chaos/xenos from defiled imperial stronghold. And who doesn't like orbital bombardment :-)
For all my troubles I've got form GW Primaris Psyker as present :D

Sounds like it's gonna be good! And, surprise, surprise, GW gives space marines MORE stuff. Stupid genetically-engineered killing machines. Actually, that makes them sound a lot like nids. New terrain, eh? And you said landing pad? Could it possibly be the one from the 40k 5th edition release WD?

Overall sounds good. Nids get a little love with the trygon AND there's new terrain!

Yesterday i talked to someone who said that GW was going to wait to see how the Valkyrie did before releasing the Trygon. They did that with the Stompa too. They waited almost 2 years after releasing the Baneblade to see how a large plastic would sell. Obviously, it sold very well. So we i think that the Trygon's realease date may depend somewhat on how well the Valkyrie does.

Hurry, everyone go pre-order 10 valkyries!! :D

From what I hear on different boards I think the vak will sell fairly well. Its a pretty awesome looking model-> it makes me want to start IG (stealer cults, anyone? Straken would make a decent Patriarch) if not for a lack of money and the fact I want to do SW first (SM vikings who love beer-> how are they not the greatest chapter?).
